Terms of Service

These terms cover the use of sloctech.in and, in outline, how Sloctech works with clients. For any project, the signed quote or statement of work is the agreement; where it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.

1. Using this website

The information on this site describes our services in general terms. It is not advice for your specific situation and it is not an offer until we have sent you a written quote. We try to keep it accurate and current; if you spot something wrong, tell us.

2. How a project is agreed

Before work starts we write down what will be built, in what order, and the price of each part. You can remove any part you do not need. Work begins when you accept the quote in writing. Changes to the scope are quoted before they are built, so the price never moves without your agreement.

3. Payment

Payment stages, currency and due dates are set out in the quote. Invoices are payable by the date shown on them. We may pause work on an invoice that is overdue, after telling you.

4. Who owns what

You own the full code, designs and documents once the project is paid for. Until final payment, they remain ours. Free open-source components used in the work keep their own licences, and any paid third-party service or licence is listed in your quote. Tools, libraries and know-how we already had before your project stay ours, and you receive a licence to keep using them within your software.

5. Support and service levels

Uptime targets, maintenance scope and response times exist only where a signed support plan or statement of work sets them out. Where no such document exists, no service level is implied. We do not advertise a blanket "24/7" we could not hold to.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content, data and third-party accounts you give us access to, for having the right to use them, and for reviewing and approving work at the check-ins we agree. Decisions we need from you are part of the timeline.

7. Domain names and hosting

Domain names ordered through this site are registered in your name and are subject to the registry's rules for that domain ending. Payment is taken by Razorpay under its own terms. Hosting and maintenance plans are governed by the plan you sign up to.

8. Limits

We build carefully and test before launch, but no software is guaranteed free of every defect. Our responsibility for a project is limited to the amount you have paid us for it, except where the law does not allow that limit. Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events outside its control.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. A signed statement of work may agree a different governing law for a specific project. Questions go through the contact page.
